据《甘肃省志·文物志》记载，明洪武二十五年(公元1392年)，朱元璋给其第十四子肃庄王朱楧赐宋本《淳化阁帖》一部，秘藏肃府内库。万历四十三年(公元1615年)，肃宪王朱绅尧邀请当时全国金石木刻的顶级匠工温如玉、张应召摹帖上石，历时七年完成，共刻石144块，名为“肃邸淳化阁帖刻石”，并建专馆珍藏。
